Winter Solstice Thursday December 21-Part 2

Well our workshop to make winter solstice lanterns was cancelled, which was a big disappointment. So I haven't got that to show you now 😔  What I do have is a real simple project I made a while back, and you probably could modify this to make a winter solstice lantern, but using those fake tea lights as your candle. I called mine a "star jar", but I've also made mini dinosaur, fairy, dragon etc., jars as well...
Supplies:
•foam cut outs in any shape you want to use, and that you can paint black(to show up)
• Glass jam jars with lids
• Thin tissue paper to glue on outside of jar
• White school glue
• Quality white glue
• Clear glitter
• Twine For bow around top of jar
• Floral embellishments
• Battery powered tea lights or led string lights

• Stick the figures directly on the  inside glass

• Use two battery powered tea lights. More light = stronger silhouette
• use one layer of paper , overlap is ok
• Use thin school glue for the paper & for the glitter( roll in iridescent glitter top and bottom of outside jar)

• DO NOT use real candles inside
